Standards of Conduct

Presidential Memorandum 99-04 (Section 5) outlines the Campus Policy on Alcohol and Substance Abuse. Legal Sanctions

The use of alcohol beverages must be in compliance with California state law and is strictly limited to persons 21 years of age or older. Health Risks

University Sanctions

Sections 25658-25665).

This policy is promulgated under the authority of the California Education and Administrative Codes, subsequent resolutions and standing orders of the Board of Trustees and Administrative Codes, subsequent resolutions and standing order of the Board of Trustees and Chancellor of the California State University, and responsibility of the President of the university for the general welfare of the campus.

Students who are 21 or older may consume alcohol within the privacy of their own University Housing apartment and without the presence of a minor.
